Man vs Wild

We went on our annual trip to Refugio Beach and brought Stephen and Jana with us. We had been watching a lot of man vs wild on Netflix(gotta love that show) and decided to build us a shelter. With some palm fronds, drift wood, and cordage we felt like we had made a Bear Grils kind of place. The kids decorated it with shells and even made a doorbell. The whole trip was a blast even with out hot sunny days and any waves. I later asked Summer what her favorite part of the trip was and she said sleeping(aka being in the tent)....and roasting. And next time she wants to roast even more stuff.

Vacation Over - School is in

Needless to say I didn't post over the summer, it was vacation from all sorts of things not just school. I will just say we had an awesome summer - relaxing, full of swimming, park playing, Popsicle eating and of course our favorite trips to Jones' and Greding Reunion. We flew to ID and Matt drove to UT where we met him for Greding Reunion. On the drive home we saw the Salt Lake Temple and also stopped by G&G Dransfields to say hi. It was a super great trip.

School has been in for about a week and we are starting to get in a routine....The kids like to ride bikes or scooters to school and Summer likes to set up all kids of barbie, doll or pet shop things. In this picture all of her friends(barbies) are going to the movies with her(to watch Dora). :)

Jana and Stephen will be back this weekend to live with us and we can't wait....and my house is just starting to resemble order after the summer.

Fish Tank

After the kids did so good on their report cards we decided it was time to get the pet we had been promising since before Finn was born. Our First set of gold

fish died in a few days. Our next set of fish got ICK(white fungus spots) and 2 died. Magic (Owens white fish) some how survived. The girls then got new ones. Summer got a pot belly and named it wedding...a few days later named it Bubbles...and a few days later manic...and has finally settled on Karate Master. CJ got a snail and named it Muscles. And we let Finn get a fish with a Mickey Mouse sign on its tail. We named it Mickey. This set of fish seem to be good. The girls get to have them in their room, and the sound of the water filter trickiling seems to be a good white noise to dround out Finn screaming(A good bonus).

Owen and CJ both had shows at school. Owen was a bird in a Garden Show about soil, seasons and compost. CJ was in Down on the Farm and this is where we get the song The little red hen.

Best Day Ever

If you all remember back 2 years ago.....we ran out of $$ to do our shower and got to leave it electric blue. A little reminder of how our whole house once was. We are to be reminded no more. Matt worked so hard, and came up against a thousand problems...and he really is magic and made the most beautiful shower EVER. And for those who have stayed with us, our old shower head is now in that shower and has GREATLY improved the water pressure!! Can I just say that these pictures do not even come close to showing how gross or how beautiful my shower was and is...not even close.

Pinewood Derby

Matt made his "cool car". Kids made their winning car, and it really did win. They got first place. Just barely.
